Pete Rose is a no brainer for inclusion in the BHOF. A player's play on the field, in relation to his peers, should be determinative.
Barry Bonds is more problematic. Yes, his stats are undeniable, but the question is whether they were garnered on a level playing field. If all other players of his era were juicing, then yes, I think he should get in. But if they weren't, you could surmise that his excellence was drug-enhanced, and his stats cannot be fairly compared to those of his contemporaries. On the other hand, if he had retired before he started banging out the homeruns at a super-human rate, I suspect that he still would have got in.
